Soccer Expert Sutton Faces Off Against Singer Murs in Top Flight Predictions
The Gunners' ten-match winning run was ended by Sunderland prior to the global break, but can the Premier League frontrunners recover against local foes Spurs this Sunday?
"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," remarked soccer expert Chris Sutton.
"Frank will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this season - but Mikel Arteta's team usually still manage to win."
The analyst is making predictions for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, versus AI, readers and a range of guests.
For the twelfth round, he takes on singer Olly Murs, who is a United fan.
The singer's latest record, Knees Up, is available on the weekend.
Soccer and Parenting Life
Olly is a talented soccer player as well as a successful singer and has been a star of multiple charity football games down the years - but he is not intending a serious return as a player.
"{I recently played in a charity match the other night for a mate of mine," he said. "My side was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you will!
"I still love football, but I hurt my joint a few years ago and it even now hasn't fully recovered. I hope I could play more but the uncertainty of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my career to do it seriously again.
"Additionally I am forty-one now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my daughter or son decides to play instead."
Murs and his spouse Amelia Tank have two children, their daughter and Albert, and he is ready to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their coach.
"I won't push football on our children but I've already told my wife that if they do get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will probably be coaching their weekend football team," he said.
"I watched my relatives play a lot, and I really got into it, and I obviously owned a soccer team for a period too.
"My dad coached with us when I was a kid, which is probably where I inherited it. He coached our side for two or three years and had a wonderful time with it. That could be the future for me as well, and I am excited to it!"
Premier League Forecasts
Saturday, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
Chelsea might have to be patient for their star's comeback from fitness issues but their offense is now stronger with Pedro and Delap both returned to fitness.
In my opinion this game will be quite close, however. The Clarets are well organised and their sole home losses so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.
It suggests a one-all draw to me, but I am in fact going to go with the London side to win narrowly for what would be their third consecutive Premier League win in a row.
The expert's prediction: 1-2
The singer's prediction: The Blues will be too strong. 1-3
Artificial intelligence's prediction: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Cherries have lost their past two matches - although both of them were away - but they got thoroughly beaten by Villa last time out which surprised me.
In contrast, the Hammers secured two in a row before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at their stadium, they appear competitive again.
The Hammers' sole on the road win this campaign came at Forest in the summer, when West Ham manager Nuno Espirito Santo was still that team's manager.
Therefore, what exactly do I go with here - can the Hammers continuing their streak under their manager, or Bournemouth responding?
I am going to go with Bournemouth, because I think what occurred against Villa was a blip.
The pundit's prediction: 2-0
Olly's outlook: The home team are doing well but West Ham have improved under their boss. 2-2
The algorithm's prediction: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Bees were considered one of the favourites for the drop before the campaign started, but they have surprised a several people under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three wins in their last four games.
A family member advised me to select Bees striker Thiago in my fantasy soccer squad a few weeks back and, guess what, I ignored the advice.
The forward will probably find the net again on the weekend but I am still not going to select him or back Brentford at Brighton's ground.
They have not had much success on the road this season, and the Seagulls are consistently strong at home. The visitors will attempt to attack on the counter-attack but I think Fabian Hurzeler's team pose much more of a danger.
Sutton's forecast: 2-1
Olly's prediction: It could be one of those games where you expect there is going to be a lot of scores but it in reality proves to be quite close. 1-1
The computer's prediction: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
It is a massive fixture for Fulham, who have lost five of their past six matches.
They have have plenty of quality in their team but it nonetheless feels like they could be dragged into a relegation fight.
Regarding Sunderland, indeed they are the unexpected success of the Premier League campaign so far.
The away side's display in the 2-2 draw with the Gunners last time out was excellent. We have not witnessed anyone else disrupt the Gunners like that this season, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.
The logical choice would be to support the visitors here, because they are obviously capable of roughing the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in this part of London, they defeated the Blues at the end of last month.
But I am not do that. Rather, I truly need to carry on going against the away team with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of credit for their positive outcomes because they evidently enjoy to prove me wrong.
Looking at Fulham's home form, the only team they have lost to is the league leaders. Their manager's team will be absolutely desperate for a good outcome, so I am going to say they will secure three much-needed points.
The expert's prediction: 1-0
The guest's prediction: I know the visitors are doing well and additionally that the hosts are on a bad run... but they have still been respectable at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0
AI's prediction: 2-0

This is a tough one to call. Liverpool have suffered seven of their last ten matches in all competitions, but might they be one of the teams who benefit from the {international break|
