BF6 BR Mode Launches Tomorrow as a Free-to-Play Experience

Following quite some time of anticipation, the battle royale mode for Battlefield 6 is at last arriving. Last week's talk claiming its arrival would align with Season 1 were true. Fans can jump into the mode starting very soon.

Launch Season Bringing a Fresh Location, Mode, and Weapons

Together with the battle royale mode, Season 1 is also kicking off. This adds a fresh location, a new mode, and new weapons. On top of that, Redsec is arriving. An embedded trailer will go live at launch, giving players a taste of what's to come.

F2P Access Makes Battle Royale Available to Any Player

Maybe the biggest detail is that Battlefield Redsec will be complimentary. Much like other titles, you don't have to purchase the main title to join in. Some players have already tried pre-release builds of the game type. Those trials were conducted in Battlefield Labs, which the developers described as their biggest community collaboration effort.

The heart-pounding excitement while fighting another squad is unmatched in different last-man-standing mode. It feels a true survival situation, and you genuinely worry if you make it or not.
Even though I considered myself a skeptic beforehand, I'm now supportive of the battle royale now that I've experienced it.

Such initial feedback from players have been very positive. Certainly, the mode may have evolved over the last few weeks in terms of balancing and tempo. Still, initial indicators are strong that the battle royale could become a genuine rival to leading games. Players are hoping that the top weapons from the main game will carry over in the new mode.
